The mole has suddenly appeared this week. I'm not sure if it very very short balck hair or just black skin. My hamster seems normal and well enough but is keeping the patch clean. Could it be cancer?

were is the patch at?? if its on or around its hip it could just be the scent glands.. after grooming theyll look very glossy and greasy.. if ur hamstr stops eating and drinking and not being active as much as it use to.. then i would get him checked.. but othrwise, if hes acting fine then u should be good.. if ur rlly concernd just get him checked now so u can prevent anything from happning

this could be cancer. watch it over a period of time and if it changes then get your vet to take a look.

if it is on the side of your hamster then it is likely to be a scent gland,

good luck, i hope this helps :D

Ewww gross...However congratulations on landing the job! I think it's men and women with out wellbeing insurance that decision their moles "beauty marks". Maybe you could improvise with a tremendous fish net stocking for a hair net.
