Question:
how much should I feed my bunny?

I recently adopted a giant angora and am unsure how much to feed him. I make sure he has access to hay at all times and take him outside a few days a week, but with the grain I give him about 1/2 a cup a day and he eats it all immediately and goes nuts when I feed him. where as my other dwarf bunny only eats a little at a time throughout the day, I want to give him more but I'm afraid he'll overeat, he already feels a chubby so I don't think I am underfeeding him.

Most rabbits do go nuts of pellets. It can be good to divide the amount into 2 feedings a day.

Angoras tend to have more specific feeding needs. They need higher protein (16% or higher), and may need more than average for their weight. If they are not fed correctly, the won't have a nice coat and can loose weight and condition. It can take some time to find what feed works for your rabbit.

All rabbits go crazy when its pellet time- mine sure do!! 1/4 - 1/2 a cup of pellets per 2 lbs of body weight per day is how much they should have :)

make sure you have hay based pellets that are the boring kind :)

a good rule of thumb is 1/4 cup per 2 lbs of rabbit :)

He probably just like the eat but you might want to feed him more or just smaller portions throughout the day your are supposed to fees 1 oz of pellets per pound of body weight a zd unlimited hay.

Hopefully I helped. You probably arnt over feeding but a little more food won't kill him or your wallet:) if you start to feel his ribcage feed him more.

Again hope I helped
