how long does it take for the mice to start mating once you put them together?

I think they start breeding immediately. And I think- not 100% sure- that the gestation period is 29 days.

very very quickly!!

I worked at a petstore and we had male mice. We accidently got a female in and didnt realize it. The next thing we know theres babies in the cage (12). I have 2 of the little girls now.

just to correct you its 21 days ( 3 weeks ) my girl is due any time this weekend its my first litter
