how to make my hamster not escape?

i have a wired cage and the wires are preety fare apart and i need to find a way for my two hamsters to not escape.
i have a other cage and its kinda little the name is
my first hamster home and they fight in that cage becouse no inough space what should i do
and plz dont say get a other cage becouse my parents said they wont buy a other big cage

First, if you're housing two hamsters together, please be sure they are one of the dwarf types and not two Syrians. Syrians, the large size hamsters, must live alone and will kill each other if housed together.



I am going to suggest another cage, because that is the solution to your housing woes - a bin cage

If you have two or more hamsters, and they are both dwarf hamsters, try saving up money to buy a new cage yourself ( called self-sufficiency ) or put one hamster in the small cage, and put the other one in the big cage but make or use some wire and connect them to the big cage to block the hamster from escaping. :)

If ur parents are worried about money, sell one of the cages on ebay or somewhere and put the money u get 4 it towards a new cage :-)

You could take hardwire cloth and cover the cage with it. My dad's friend did that with her rat cage that had the same problem.

i kept mine in a 10gal fish tank

they are only like 12 bucks at wal-mart

my hamsters would knaw the plastic cages open
