Is the name Echo more female or male?

I'm getting my hamster soon and I wanna call it echo, I'm not to set on the sex just which ever one seems the coolest in the shop. Would you say echo is more girl if boy or multi sex?

Echo is more of a unisex name for me.



I would say male, but have a friend that has a little toy mutt named Echo who is a female.



I have been breeding & raising rodents/exotics with years prior to other animals since I was 7 years old. I always name my animals based on either their personality, or color.

i think that Echo could be male OR female, just choose the hamster you like the most without thinking "I really like this hamster, but it's the wrong sex!"

Echo was a female in the greek myths, but there's also a movie called Earth to Echo, and in that movie Echo was referred to as a he.

Well Echo is generally a female name (because there is a mythological nymph named Echo) but since the name ends in an "o" it sounds masculine

You won't be able to determine the hamsters personality at the store. You have to wait until he gets settled in, so I'd research sexes and see which one seems to fit your fancy more, remember though, all are different and what they say each gender are usually like may not be the case for yours.



I would think of Echo to be a unisex name. I don't think boy or girl specifically when I hear that name, maybe I sound crazy but that's just me..
