I think my rat broke his hand, finger, or whole arm Please help!!!!!!!!ASAP?

Question

I was just playing with my rat and i don't really remember what happened but he squeaked and i think i did something but i think he broke his arm.He is and he looks like it really hurts. what can i do to make the pain stop a little he constantly licks his hand.I'm not 100 % sure that he broke his arm.If he didn't what do you think is wrong with him?He is sleeping a lot and he looks sick.I don't know if he will survive the night before we take him to the vet.My vet is already closed they closed like one hour ago.

Yes.It's broken but he won't die.Almost positive.My dog grabbed my pet mouse with his teeth and I managed to get my poor mousie back before he killed her.She had a broken spine and foot.I just gave her extra bedding, warm water, and didn't play with her for a while.In a week, both bones were healed and she was back to normal.I was very suprised.If a little feeder mouse can take that much, than I'm sure you little rat with be better.

Rats move super fast and even the most gentle and careful owner can have an accidental mis-step.



The ice probably helped. You could also try to get him to take some ibuprofen (Motrin) for pain.

he should be ok and cristine was very mean for saying that you where a bad pet owner my dad and i where putting my mouse tweaky in our maze and he acedentaly closed the top on tweakys tail and we think he broke her tail but we didn't have her run the maze and she was just fine but we had to put her down 6 months later and now all my sweet little mice are dead

Why were you playing with a small animal so roughly?



I don't believe you - anyway you should have been more careful with such a small creature.



If the poor thing dies, I hope your parents do not allow you to have another poor animal.
