For a bunny cage,can you replace the bedding with newpaper?

i have 2 lionheaded bunnies, about 2 months old....i wanna know if you can replace it with newspaper...i did it n tested it but as soon as i put the bunnies in the cage they started to eat it....is this normal? And can i use the newspaper?

Nooooo! Newspaper is almost never a good idea for any small animal, the inks and dyes and paper chemicals are bad for them. Would you live on newspaper? Wood shavings or the recycled paper they sell are all better. The store paper is cleaned and all the chemicals are removed, thereby making it much safer.

No, because of the ink. Just go to a pet store and buy the proper kind of bedding meant for your bunnies.
