I'm curious what the "normal" food is but I've been feeding my hamster oxbow brand ( looks like a hard brown oat cheerio) and she loves it.

Pelleted food should be 75% of their diet- like the oxbow stuff (daily)

Vegetables and leafy greens should make up 20% of their diet- kale, zucchini, squash, carrots (every other day)

And Fruit should be 5%- papaya, melon, banana (once a week)

Also treats like raisins, seeds and alfalfa hay is another 5% (once a week)

Mineral wheels are also a very good for them

Why don't you try a different type of dry food. He might not like what he has so try something new. If it muesli, Hamsters can be a picky with whats in it. They will only eat somethings and leave others. Hope this helps. Good Luck!!

Yes, you can. Don't give him too much sweet fruits though because hamsters can also get diabetes and don't feed them tomatoes or oranges because they have acids. Don't give them stuff with vinager or beans because beans are poisonous for hamster. Don't give them canned foods. They love carrots and lettuce! You can also feed them some hard boiled egg ( the white part) for protein, sunflower seeds ( not baked ) , and you can feed them pizza crusts and small bits of cheese.
