Hamsters usually don't squeak or make any kind of noise unless they are scared or fighting with another hamster/animal. The only sound I have ever heard from my hamster is a hiccup...I know that sounds weird, but they get hiccups apparently! He seems to be healthy though since he is running on his wheel.

I think rats squeak not hampsters.... my hampster never squeaks. The only squeaking i hear is from his wheel.
SQUEAKING
Rats are usually quite silent, and usually won't squeak unless something's wrong. Rats in multiple-rat households often wrestle, and occasionally, for very brief periods, even fight. At this time, you may hear them squeak. Unless a fight is terrible or lasts more than a minute, it is best to leave things be. Squeaking can also be caused by little feet or little tails getting accidentally pinched or bent wrong. In these instances, it will be a loud, short squeal that ends immediately after the source of pain is removed. Every rat owner has accidentally pinched or caught feet or tails in cage materials while picking up or putting down their rats, so this kind of squeak should be at least vaguely familiar.
Some rats also squeak at times while out playing and enjoying themselves - but the majority of them remain completely silent, even when excited by a fun rat game
It's a rat but i think it still stands.

Ive had like 10 hamsters (my hamster had 5 babies) and none of them have been squeakers. The hamster I have right now got really mad at me once and he squeaked at me but no squeaking is very normal.

Hamster's are no longer meant to make noise whilst they are healthful. ZThey pass into warmth each and every 4 days so the season has no longer something to do with it. Your hamster is in all hazard in relatively some discomfort to be making non end noise like this. get that sweetie to a vet!

Hamsters are just very quiet pets. Throughout my childhood I had many hamsters, and none of them squeaked. This is normal behavior.

play with him and keep him company
a happy hamster is a active and good hamster.
if it doesn't squeak and its still living than it has no problem, but if you want him to squeak then you have to traing him to.
try these tips:
1)do squeaky noises yourself and do it alot when your near him.BE VERY PATIENT this will take a while
2)make sure your hamster is able to hear noises around him this should encourage him to squeak
3)buy him a friend this should make him talk to him/her.
good luck.

Good news!!! it means your hamster is happy and content.
They squeak if they are scared or alarmed.

thats good! because squeaking is sort of like the hamsters saying "OUCH!!!!!!!!" or screaming. im happy to know you hamster hasn't gotten hurt so far ^^
do not listen to the person above me if your hasmter is a syrian (teddy bear, black bear, long haired , Etc.) because they are best not kept with other hamsters because they will fight to death O.o

Hamsters will only squeek when they are frightened or when they are trying to scare some other creature and it isn't really a squeek its more of a chatter like a squirrel.

well maybe he just doesn't want to in front of people well this is a fine thing so i wouldn't worry that much as long as he is in good health

that just means that he/she is happy in it's surroundings. if you want it to squeak get it a playmate.
