What is a good alternative pet to ferrets?

Bottom line is that I love little fluffy creatures that will cuddle. I had ferrets but my parents sold then cuz they smelled. Bad. So I really miss them and I'm a freshman now (girl) and I really want a cuddly pet. I already have a dog cat and bird.my parents won't get me another ferret because of the smell so what would be a good alternative? Preferably one that doesn't smell (cuz of my parent) oh and I've already had hamsters... They smelled too and were too small and nocturnal lol

Get a guinea pig! There so sweet, and don't smell if you clean there cage when they dirty it up!

I would say that a pair of rats would be your best option. Personality wise they would be the most similar to a ferret- they are generally very playful, affectionate and intelligent (sometimes it depends on their sex)

The females are more active, and don't have as strong an odour.

I don't think rats have a particularly strong smell provided that you clean the cage regularly.

Ok, if u cant have a hamster because of the smell, then u cant really have any rodent because they all have some scent. There is no pet that has absolutely no odor. You could get a rat, they r really sweet, smart, and clean. They don't smell too bad and they love cuddling. Well, males do, females are more adventurous

I know you already have a cat, bird and dog, but are they friendly (I have a bunch of birds, and they cuddle way too much, lol) You could go for a Rabbit, only problem is that you need to train it to use a litter, box, since they poop a lot. Also many people don't know this, but bunnies love fruits and bread(don't give them too much or they will get fat, lol)

If the hamster was too smelly then you don't really have any options. Hamster are going to be the least smelly animal you can get.
