Question:
Good wire cage for a dwarf hamster?
Silly human, meat's for dogs!

A few weeks ago, I purchased what I believe is a Cambell's Dwarf Hamster. (I'm pretty sure but..I still DK) I'm keeping her in a 10 gallon aquarium (Hopefully temporary) Anyway, I want to get her a new wire cage because of my concern of humidity issues. A wire cage I hope. Any suggestions? (Preferably under $50, because of my moms low-budget)
Also, I live in the U.S.

One more thing- my mom don't want to get her a wire cage because she's afraid she'll get her head stuck in the bars. What's the possibility of that? If at all?

Thanks!
Oh, here she is!

I have the following in red and blue and they suit my Campbell's Dwarfs just fine. I've never had one get their heads stuck or anything. And if you buy it AT petco instead of online, it's cheaper. The online price says $29.99 but I paid $16.99 each for mine.

Good luck with your little one!

Also DO NOT USE pine bedding! If it IS a Campbell's Dwarf, she could be allergic to it. I recommend CareFresh. It smells better, and won't make your hammy sick.

I really wouldn't get a wire cage. I put mine in a large "Sterlite" container. It's about 2 feet long and 18 inches wide. They are made of plastic. I like them, cause easy to move around, and clean, also they are a very light weight. You can get them at Target or Walmart. I fill them about 2 inches deep with aspen shavings or you can use unscented Carefresh. My hamsters love those containers, they are easy to clean, and they can't get their feet stuck in the cage bottom or head stuck in the side bars. It gives them a lot of room to run around too. Just add a wheel and some wood chew toys, for your hamster's teeth. The other choice is one of those colored plastic hamster houses at Petsmart... The ones with the tube on top or the side. You can also get one at Walmart for about 22 dollars.. Best of luck with your hamster.. : )
