I'm laying down in bed with my head on my pillow and my little hamster Piglet is laying on my pillow in my hair and making a teeth-chattering noise.
Does this mean he's happy? :)

If it's a grinding noise it can sometimes mean he's hungry, which is quite good. It means he feels comfortable enough to eat around his owner and outside his cage. However if it's more like chomping or snapping sound (imagine snapping your teeth together, that kind of noise), it's more likely an aggression or fear response. A constant almost purring noise is a content happy hamster =D

it could be that her teeth are growing too long sometimes you might mistake this noise with them sniffing (i did) lol but they sniff when they are curious and sometimes its very loud
