So it is winter here and well as you know i do not have a fresh supply of grass lol, i was wondering if i could feed my guinea pig the Chia cat grass, it says that it is a mixture of sweet oat and wheat grass, which isnt cat nip correct? also it says that dogs and birds like it as well so would it be safe to feed my guinea pigs?

here is the link if you want to check it out, the part about dogs and birds liking it is at the bottom under "what you get"

Yep, oat and wheat grass is good to feed.

I wouldn't feed normal chia grass. There's likely fertilizers and other things in the grass that aren't edible.

Yes, the wheat grass (or sweet grass as some call it) that you buy at pet stores is fine for guinea pigs. They love to munch on it, and it's good for them as well.

It should be fine. Just don't over feed it or you'll end up with a sick piggie with diarhea.

Our guinea pigs won't eat anything if they don't like it, and they seem to have an innate ability to know what's good for them. Try it if you want!
