Is it safe to keep a deer mouse with fancy Mice?

I caught a deer mouse and I put it in a cage with 2 females it too was a female.Is it the deer mouses falut that one died I mean I had her for about a year.She had gunck in her eyes and was cold.What is going on shold I release it and buy another fancy mouse?What should I do?

Wild mice can give pet mice diseases. I’d let the wild mouse go; it’s not meant to live in a cage like fancy mice.

Why would you put a wild mouse in a cage with your fancy mice? I would put the deer mouse in a separate cage. Research more on mice because it doesn't seem that you know too much about mice. Lets hope your other mouse doesn't have a disease from the wild mouse.

The mice they promote at puppy shops are domesticated abode mice. i do not imagine they could breed feeder mice to be diseased, through the undeniable fact that could want to harm the animals ingesting them. i does no longer hardship about the mice having Hantavirus. although washing palms after coping with is a physically powerful practice. My cousin had mice years in the past, and he continues to be alive. ;)
